:: Landbridge Shipping Limited - About the Company ::

Company History

Landbridge Shipping Ltd was formed in 1989 by its current Managing Director, Len Hayes. The company's business was initially based in the movement of copper and other metals but more recently has diversified into other areas and now also provides specialised services in the shipping of copper, lumber and chemicals, the majority of staff having hazardous goods training.

The company has grown steadily since it's inception from a one man organisation to that of a respected company with a wealth of experience in the shipping and freight forwarding industries.

With ISO9002 accreditation and membership of BIFA the company continues to show a commitment to excellence through high quality services and a personalised approach to it's customer base.

Company Ethos

Landbridge Shipping's continued growth and success has been due in no small part to the ethos it employs toward it's clients.

The service provided to clients is both efficient and personal. Each contract is assigned to an account manager, who will ensure all the client's requirements are met in full. Each contract is treated on an individual and personal basis and customer satisfaction is paramount.

Landbridge Shipping has built it's reputation upon providing a personal service to organisations, both big and small, and tailoring the services provided to suit the clients needs exactly.

Technology & Communication

As the world is continually getting smaller with the development and convergence of computing and communication technologies, information is becoming more of a commodity than a tool.

Landbridge Shipping are currently implementing an ongoing technology infrastructure that includes the installation of a new computer network that builds upon existing links to organisations such as HM Customs and Excise which facilitates efficient and rapid customs clearance.

As the company has developed it has established and maintained associations with a number of players in complementary industries such as LME Warehousing companies, with which it retains close liaisons and agreements. Such associations further enhance the services that Landbridge Shipping can offer it's clients.
